Long Beach, CA, May 19, 2009
Epson, a leading manufacturer of advanced inkjet printing, precision imaging and robotics technology, announced two new models of its proven Discproducer desktop disc publishing solution for creating professional quality CDs or DVDs on demand. The new models include the Discproducer Network model, designed for multi-user access, and the Discproducer Network Security model, designed for protecting confidential information with user-access controls. Both models are ideal for high-quality disc publishing in environments such as education, government, medical, general businesses and law offices. The Network Security model provides added controls for military, government, healthcare and businesses that need to protect sensitive information.
"Discproducer is a unique product with exceptional quality," said Bud Weist, vice president of sales and marketing, Epson System Device Group. "Certain environments require publishing by multiple users and others require a high level of confidentiality, so we expanded the product line to address these market demands. Discproducer is a solid product that gets the job done – and now there are specific models to address very specific needs."
Discproducer Network Model The Discproducer Network model supports shared access with Ethernet connectivity. It includes an LCD display, embedded processor, hard drive for storing publishing jobs, and a door lock to restrict access by unauthorized users. To ensure fast set-up and ease of use, the Discproducer Network model includes Epson's Total Disc Maker, Total Disc Monitor, Total Disc Setup Software and Total Disc Net Administrator software. The Discproducer Network model is an ideal fit for businesses where shared access is essential, such as education, professional service agencies and small business environments.
Discproducer Network Security Model The Discproducer Network Security model helps protect confidential information with two levels of security – a PIN and a Security mode. In PIN mode, users are required to enter a unique ID and PIN before retrieving discs. In Security mode, approval is required for each job before it is published to protect confidentiality and to control costs. It includes an LCD display, embedded processor, encrypted hard drive and a door lock to restrict access. To ensure fast set up and ease of use, the Discproducer Network Security model includes Epson's Total Disc Maker, Total Disc Monitor, Total Disc Setup and Total Disc Net Administrator software. The Discproducer Network Security model is ideal for applications that require a high level of confidentiality and control, such as military, government, medical and legal.
